WELCOME TO THE BURR LAB

INVESTIGATING MECHANISMS OF IMMUNE EVASION IN CANCER TO IDENTIFY NOVEL THERAPEUTIC TARGETS

In the Burr laboratory, we aim to uncover the molecular mechanisms by which cancer cells evade surveillance and control by the immune system. We employ genome scale CRISPR genetic screening approaches, together with genomic and proteomic technologies, to uncover novel genes and pathways that can be targeted therapeutically to enhance immune recognition of cancer cells. Building on this knowledge, our goal is to develop new, more effective immune-based cancer treatments.
